Brief Description

The Task force makes decisions related to the implementation of members into the worship and fellowship of the community of believers.

Responsible to

This position is responsible to the Board of Elders and Church Council. The leader of the task force will communicate and report to other task forces and boards as appropriate.

Importance of Ministry

The Task force facilitates the incorporation of new & current members into the congregational family.

Time Frame

Monthly meetings with assignments between meetings.

Length of Service

1 year, with opportunity to serve additional terms

Skill Set Required

Leadership, decision-making, creativity, a “people person,” organized, detail oriented

Training/Assistance Available

Staff person/director/volunteer leader who is responsible for supervising, and previous task force members share their assimilation plans with the next recruited group.

Number of Volunteers Needed and/or Involved

4-6 Task force members (chair/director, recorder, and computer specialist are essential.)

Satisfaction in attending to the needs of new member and providing a path to their integration into the church.
